Normalizing is not a standard pretreatment process for H13 steel. This is because normalizing significantly increases the hardness and internal stress, making it unsuitable for subsequent machining and final heat treatment.
For H13 steel with a normal microstructure, spheroidizing annealing should be performed directly.
