ESR only represents the smelting process. Therefore, the chemical composition of H13 ESR is exactly the same as that of H13 steel.
After undergoing electroslag remelting, H13 ESR exhibits a further reduction in harmful impurities and non-metallic inclusions compared to H13 steel, resulting in a more uniform and denser composition and microstructure. Therefore, H13 ESR can be considered a “purified” and “strengthened” version of H13.
